Summer 2017 Housing

Campus Apartments:

Current spring apartment residents wishing to remain on campus past the end of the spring and Mayterm to take UD summer classes or due to employment as a summer student worker must apply to do so via the link at the end of this section.  Be advised that in addition to UD summer students, there will be a number of summer conference groups in and out of various apartments over the summer.  This means that only a limited number of apartments will be available for student residents this summer.  Send an email to to request paid housing ($300) in your current apartment for Mayterm due to Mayterm class registration or after providing proof of full time employment to simply remain during Mayterm alone or to remain through Mayterm and the summer.  A separate summer application is required via the link at the bottom of this section.  The per student price for 4 residents in a 2BR apartment for both summer sessions is $1,544.  Single occupancy per bedroom is not possible.

Current spring hall residents wishing to remain on campus as a summer student worker in the campus apartments must also apply via the link below.  Arrangements for campus housing in the apartments during the summer are only possible if able to provide proof of UD summer class registration for both summer sessions or proof of employment at a minimum of 30 hours per week for the duration of the summer until summer housing closes at midnight of August 11, 2017.  

Housed student workers will pay the same housing rate as those enrolled in classes.  The per student price for 4 residents in a 2BR apartment for both summer sessions is $1,544.  Single occupancy per bedroom is not possible.  Be prepared for a short stay in the Mayterm hall until an apartment is available.  Depending upon the number of summer apartment requests, alternate placement in the summer hall is possible - see section below.  Summer apartment applicants will be contacted if placement in an apartment is not possible for any reason with an offer for placement in the summer hall.

Residence Hall:

SUMMER ONE/TWO Undergraduates:  Immediately after the end of the Mayterm period, Madonna Hall will be used for enrolled summer one and summer two students as well as any full-time summer student workers who apply for campus housing in a hall.  The hall will be co-ed by floor during this period. 

Current undergraduates returning to take summer 2017 classes will be billed $600 per student/per normal summer session for a double, triple or quad  room AND $872.56 per student/per summer session for the mandatory 19 meal plan.  Only the 19 meal plan is available during the summer.  Summer student workers pay the same rates as students enrolled in summer classes.

O'HARA:   New and continuing students specifically enrolled in the 8-week O'Hara summer 2017 program will be billed $960 per student per double room AND $1396.10 for the mandatory 19 meal plan.  

ALL summer program participants must move out by absolutely no later than midnight of Friday, August 11th due to the annual campus-wide utility shutdown the weekend of August 12th and 13th. Sorry, no exceptions are possible.
