Welcome to a New School Year!
They're back! Our campus is alive once again with students, faculty and staff. We hope your sons and daughters returned to campus with the same joy that we had in seeing them! Thanks to all of our new parents and families who attended Crusader Days Orientation. It was wonderful seeing so many new faces and we hope that everyone took away something positive and helpful. Welcome back to our returning families! We are looking forward to an exciting year.
A special thanks to Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Las Colinas for sponsorship of the balloon arrangements used throughout Crusader Days!
Campus is already buzzing with many events and activities. Encourage your student to check out Crusader Connect to stay updated on all the events happening at UD. The Offices of Academic Success and Personal Career Development have a variety of programs taking place during the fall semester. From effective note-taking to mock interviews, these programs are designed to assist with improving many aspects of study skills, career planning and overall well-being in college. Academic Success Adviser Sharon Oster has a wide range of services and programs for students. Click HERE to read more about these services.
The Office of Admission counselors are on the road again. Click HERE to read about the various admission events and to volunteer.
UD routinely sends important information via email to all students at their udallas.edu email address. It is important that students check their UD e-mail regularly. The Office of Student Affairs, Student Account Services, Office of Financial Aid and Registrar's Office are just some of the offices on campus that rely heavily on email to reach students.
Our office is here to serve as a resource for YOU, our UD parents and family members. Do not hesitate to contact us throughout the school year with any questions or concerns you may have. We look forward to partnering with you to help your student succeed!
Hope to see you at Alumni & Family Weekend, October 3-5!
Until next time,
Assistant Director of Student & Parent Services

Meet a Campus Minister: Samantha Van Atta is one of the campus ministers here at University of Dallas. She graduated from Walsh University with a bachelors in Theology. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, with a concentration in Health Care Ministries. This is her second year working with the students and she is looking forward to an amazing year.
Check out the many events Campus Ministry hosts throughout the year that provide the students with opportunities to grow in faith and community.
Financial Aid All financial aid and scholarships will disburse on September 15th, at which time we will begin processing refunds. Students who are expecting a refund need to make sure they have activated their HigherOne accounts.
Students who have not completed all of their paperwork may find that some of their financial aid does not disburse. They are welcome to contact the Office of Financial Aid (972-721-5266) or check their BannerWeb account to ensure all financial aid requirements have been satisfied.
Please see our website for more information about academic requirements for scholarship and financial aid eligibility.
