On Sunday, July 9 the University of Dallas Rome & Summer Programs Office welcomed participants on the Arete high school summer programs to campus to begin two weeks of intellectual study. Participants enroll in either the Intro to the Classics or the American Studies program and study works from the university's core curriculum.
On their first day on campus students settled in to their rooms and participated in some fun ice-breaker activities to get to know each other. They went on a campus tour and finished off the evening with dinner in the cafe and a viewing and discussion of the film The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence.
