Fall 2016 Women's Retreat

The women of the Fall 2016 class were invited to participate in a silent retreat at the Casa Divin Maestro retreat house on Lake Albano. The retreat was organized and run by Rome Chaplain Msgr. Fucinaro in conjunction with the Sisters of Mercy. The weekend was spent in silent reflection and prayer, and the women were also able to attend daily mass, a penance service, 24-hour perpetual adoration, and participate in praying the Liturgy of the Hours. There were also spiritual talks on prayer and vocations, as well as the chance for spiritual direction with the sisters and priests. The retreat offers a much needed respite from the stress and busy-ness of school and travel.

First Day in Rome: January 17th, 2016

Our Spring 2016 Romers arrived early in the morning on January 16th and were greeted in Fiumicino Airport by Resident Coordinators Joe Hrbacek and Mike Pitstick, Dr. Peter Hatlie, and two Student Assistants. The students were shuttled by bus to campus and arrived jet-lagged but ecstatic at the first sight of their new home, Due Santi!
