Wondering why you should attend the UD Ministry Conference and share the event with your friends and family? Here are the top 10 reasons we think the UD Ministry Conference is the perfect event for anyone desiring to expand their faith and knowledge about the Catholic Church!

 10. The event is now three days! (all included in the registration rate)

The 2014 ministry conference will include 28 sessions over 4 periods on Thursday afternoon and evening. This extra day is included in the registration rate, so attendees can enjoy the entire conference or pick the days that are most convenient for them, especially if they are parish volunteers who work during the day.

9. Sessions have been added for Lectors and EMs of Holy Communion

Thursday evening will feature sessions in both English and Spanish for lectors (Periods 01 & 03) and extraordinary ministers (Periods 02 & 04) -- perfect for those new to the ministries as well as veterans wanting a refresher.

8. Social media & technology experts will be providing a "master class" on making your Church or ministry more digital

Join the Digital Church Team as they give an in-depth presentation on integrating technology and social media into your ministry or Church. This "master class" will span four periods and cover such topics as "New Media, New Evangelization," "How to Create a Website that will Transform Your Ministry" and "Connecting with Your Flock."

7. Expanded tracks in parish management & leadership, deacon formation, and liturgy - perfect for those who lead & shepherd the Church

We understand that managing and leading a parish is a difficult task. Join experts in the field as they teach and dialogue on ways to improve your parish, ministries, and the liturgical experience of your faith community.

6. Our Exhibit Hall - a Catholic resource center unlike anything else

For one weekend every year, Catholic publishing companies, bookstores, and service organizations from around the country come together in DFW at the UDMC Exhibit Hall. Take this opportunity to discover new, educational and faith-based resources for your parish and family or to do some early Christmas shopping.

5. A unique and powerful opportunity to join in prayer and fellowship with Catholics from around both dioceses and beyond

This year, the bishops of both the Diocese of Dallas and the Diocese of Fort Worth, along with our keynote speaker, Archbishop J. Michael Miller, will con-celebrate a Conference Eucharist on Friday morning. The conference also offers unparalleled opportunities to reconnect, network, and share in faith with Catholics from throughout North Texas.

4. Our 100+ nationally and locally recognized speakers

UDMC strives to combine practical workshops by local ministry professionals and teachers with powerful, relevant sessions by national experts on Catholic education and ministry. This format creates a comprehensive opportunity to gain insight about your faith as well as practical skills you can apply to your ministry tomorrow.

3. We have sessions for everyone - ministry professionals, priests, deacons, catechists, volunteers & Catholics in the pew

With ten tracks and over 200 sessions, everyone can find sessions relevant to their life, ministry, or faith journey!

2. The value for the money - attend 16 hours of sessions for only $57*!

UDMC offers more value for your money than most other educational and ministry conferences in the U.S. If you attend a session every period, you will gain 16 hours of education over 3 days for less than $60. This year, we have increased our session offerings by 42% while the cost of attendance has only increased by 4% ($2)!

1. The bishops have asked all Catholics in the area, especially ministry professionals & catechists, to attend

As the only annual ministry conference in both the Diocese of Dallas and the Diocese of Fort Worth, Bishop Farrell and Bishop Olson believe strongly that the UD Ministry Conference is imperative to the life of the Church in North Texas. We hope you will join us as we all Walk Together in Faith during this three-day event.
