Teaching Philosophy or Approach

I have found the act of teaching to be an attractor of sorts, attracting ideas and people, while creating new forms of knowledge and engagement that ripples throughout our communities. I have found that the ideas I have acquired from my students and colleagues during teaching ripple through, permeating not just my courses, but also my research and professional activities. This ripple effect is what first introduced me to a career in teaching and continues to be the motivating force underlying my ongoing passion for teaching.

Research Interests and Expertise

My research portfolio covers areas in cybersecurity, AI and network science, and blockchain. In cybersecurity, my research focuses on policy, incident response, human-computer interaction, cryptography, and cyberwarfare. In the blockchain stream, my research focuses on algorithm design, mathematical analyses, policy, and the applications of blockchain in diverse contexts, such as international business and decentralized community development. I also conduct research within the stream of AI and network science, where my work focuses on graph-theoretic models of information diffusion, computational law, and AI algorithm design.
