Cor Challenge | Frequently Asked Questions

The 2025 Cor Challenge (March 25-29) is a 5-day giving event that encourages the University of Dallas community to support the Cor Fund. Conceived by the National Alumni Board in 2012, the Cor Challenge was launched to combat a downward national trend in alumni giving. The Cor Challenge has raised over $2,000,000 for UDallas faculty and students since it began. For the 14th annual 2025 Cor Challenge, our goal is to raise $200,000.

For the first time ever, the University is introducing a $50,000 Challenge Fund that allows you to directly influence how it is allocated among six exciting campus initiatives. When you make a gift to the Cor Fund, you also cast a vote for one of the causes. At the end of the Cor Challenge, the $50,000 Challenge Fund will be distributed proportionally based on the percentage of total votes each cause receives.
The first payment of your recurring gift will be counted as a part of the Cor Challenge, and your continued gifts throughout the year will help the university year round. New recurring gifts created during the Cor Challenge will receive a UD logo keychain.
Each year, the undergraduate classes of the University of Dallas battle it out to see who can get the highest percentage of their classmates to give during the Cor Challenge. The class with the highest giving percentage at the end of the Challenge will have a conference room named in their honor for the coming year, as well as their class year inscribed on the winners’ plaque inside the conference room for years to come.

Through the online portal, we can accept all major credit cards and bank transfers. If you are mailing a check that may not arrive until after the challenge ends, please reach out to us at udalum@udallas.edu or 972-721-4046 to let us know so we can count your gift. In-person gifts delivered to UDallas’s Development and University Relations department from March 25 - March 29 will also count toward our goal. Mobile Pay (ex. Google Pay, Apple Pay) is also available on most mobile devices.

If you would like to donate via stock transfer or wire, or have other questions about alternative methods of giving, please contact Sarah Sokora, Director of Advancement Services, at sdsokora@udallas.edu or 972-721-5131.
