Cor Challenge | Frequently Asked Questions

The 15th annual Cor Challenge (2026) — All I Love About UD — is a community-wide celebration of the people, places and formation that make UD what it is. Join fellow alumni, parents and friends as we give in gratitude, strengthen student life and keep the UD experience thriving.

Early launch begins Monday, March 9, and the Cor Challenge Week runs March 24–28. Our goal is to raise $250,000.

The Challenge Fund builds on the success of Cor Challenge 2025, when a $50,000 Challenge Fund gave donors a direct voice in where added support went. In 2026, that momentum continues — now expanded across eight exciting campus initiatives. Your gift is your vote: when you make a gift of $10 or more to the Cor Fund during the Cor Challenge, you can direct your vote to up to two challenge fund initiatives. At the end of the Cor Challenge, the Challenge Fund will be allocated based on each initiative’s percentage of total dollars raised (as directed by donor votes).
The first payment of your recurring gift will be counted as a part of the Cor Challenge, and your continued gifts throughout the year will help the university year round.
Each year, UD alumni rally by class year to see who can bring in the highest number of donors — with standings based on participation percentage during the Cor Challenge. For 2026, we’re keeping it simple: one unified class competition (the Rome semester competition has been retired), and graduate alumni are included. Gifts of $10 or more qualify for the class competition. The winning class will have a conference room named in their honor for the coming year, along with recognition on the winners’ plaque inside the room for years to come.

Through the online portal, we can accept all major credit cards and bank transfers. If you are mailing a check that may not arrive until after the challenge ends, please reach out to us at udalum@udallas.edu or 972-721-4046 to let us know so we can count your gift. In-person gifts delivered to UDallas’s Development and University Relations department from March 24 - March 28 will also count toward our goal. Mobile Pay (ex. Google Pay, Apple Pay) is also available on most mobile devices.

If you would like to donate via stock transfer or wire, or have other questions about alternative methods of giving, please contact Maria Gutierrez Bonilla, Director of Advancement Services, at migutierrez@udallas.edu or 972-721-5131.

Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will automatically receive an emailed receipt acknowledging your gift.
Your gift goes directly to the Cor Fund in support of our students, both current and future. Giving to the Cor Fund greatly assists the university in providing scholarships and ensures we will continue to provide opportunities for students to receive a UDallas education.
No — gifts of all sizes are welcome, from $1 to $1,000,000. Gifts of $10 or more qualify for the Class Competition and allow you to vote for up to two Challenge Fund initiatives.
