President Sanford

President Jonathan J. Sanford

Dr. Sanford, a tenured professor in the Philosophy Department, graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University (Ohio) with a degree in classical languages and philosophy in 1997. Dr. Sanford received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Buffalo, State University of New York in 2001 and a postdoctoral fellowship from Fordham University in 2001-2002. An active scholar, Dr. Sanford has published widely on philosophical figures and topics, especially in foundational questions of moral philosophy. 

Dr. Susan Hanssen

Dr. Susan Hanssen

Susan Hanssen is associate professor of history at the University of Dallas where she teaches American history on the Texas campus during the school year and the history of Western Civilization on the Rome campus in Italy during the summer. She has a PhD in British and American history from Rice University.
