The online health form is required of all new incoming undergraduates, including seminarians, for enrollment and to receive a housing assignment.  The Health Clinic must review each student's online health form before their move-in date.

After you have completed the online health form, you will receive a message through the form and at least one e-mail.  These are your confirmations that the Health Clinic has received your form.  Clinic staff will review forms as they are received.  If there are questions or concerns, they will reach back out to you for more information.  Please do not complete the form until you have completed all required tasks.  Submitted forms with incomplete/incorrect information will still be regarded as incomplete.  If there are no issues with your form responses, clinic staff will notify the housing office that your online health form is complete, and you can expect to receive your housing assignment by mid-June, or on a rolling basis if the online health form is submitted after June.

Additional documentation required for uploading:  Texas education code requires the submission to the university of "a certificate signed by a health practitioner or an official immunization record evidencing that the student has received a bacterial meningitis vaccination dose or booster during the five-year period" preceding the 10th day before the first day of the semester.  (For example, the first day of the University of Dallas' fall 2026 semester is August 26, 2026.  The 10th day before the first day of the semester is August 16, 2026.  A student who starts classes on the first day of the fall 2026 semester will need to have received a bacterial meningitis vaccination dose or booster between August 16, 2021, and August 16, 2026.)  The health practitioner for this particular certificate can be a physician (MD or DO), physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or pharmacist.

If you are submitting a medical exemption or a non-medical waiver for the required meningitis ACYW/MCV4 and/or tetanus vaccines, please read more about documentation requirements on the first page of the online health form.  

The Health Clinic will no longer accept previous health forms for the 2026-27 school year that had to be completed as PDFs or printed and then scanned.  If you were able to access these previous forms, please note that you will still need to complete the online student health form above.

In the past, the Health Clinic has required a physical exam from a medical professional for all incoming students.  The physical exam is no longer required for all students.  Student athletes should still complete a pre-participation physical as a requirement of participation in athletics.  Contact the Department of Athletics for more details.

Ready to Apply for a Dorm Room and Roomate?

Deadline - July 1, 2026

You do all this through the eRezLife portal.  Find it on your UDallas BannerWeb page (use your new username and ID to access it.)  Here you can:

• Submit a Housing Application
• Fill out a roommate profile
• Create a roommate group (if you want to choose your own roommate)
• Find your housing contract (important, as it tells you the rules and legal stuff!)
• If you plan to live at home and commute, you must complete the commuter form through the eRezLife portal.

Look for emails with the subject line “UD—eRez Campus Housing Program”

Important: You cannot receive your housing assignment until you have successfully submitted your completed health form to the UD Student Health Clinic. 

If you do not select a roommate, you will be randomly assigned one based on your eRez profile.

Log into your eRezLife portal

To keep you safe and healthy, UD automatically enrolls you in our health insurance plan through AHP.

UDallas health insurance is an opt-out, not an opt-in, program.  

If you already have health insurance through your parents’ plan, you must opt out by completing an online insurance waiver form before September 14th.

 Shortly after you complete this form, and your waiver is approved by academic health plans, the ~$2900 charge on your account will be removed.

The waiver opens May 1st and closes September 14th.  If you do not waive by Sept. 14th, the approximately $2900 bill will remain on your account, and contractually, no one at UD after that can remove this charge. 

If you wish to keep the insurance and would like to lock your coverage now, you can do so by selecting the enrollment option on the waiver website.

Complete Health Insurance Waiver Form

FERPA was a law enacted in 1974 to protect the privacy rights of students over the age of 18.  It stands for Family Education Records Privacy Act, and it says that only a student can decide whether to allow university officials to discuss with their parents or others

• the student’s grades and academic records
• the student’s university financial statements
• the student’s disciplinary records

As the student, you should decide whether to sign the FERPA waiver and waive your privacy rights.  You can choose for each of the categories above, separately, which privacy rights you wish to waive.  You are under no obligation to waive any of them.  

Students who wish to share some or all University records with their parent/s or legal guardian/s must fill out and turn in a "Consent to Release Education Records" form that can be picked up in either the Registar's Office or the Admissions Office. 

Therefore, students, please consider all of these issues so you are prepared to take care of this when you arrive.  You can go to the Registrar's Office to fill out the "Consent to Release Education Records" form. 

However, if you do not waive these rights, and a problem arises, those of us in Student Life, in Financial Aid, in the Business Office, and in academics are prohibited from discussing these matters with your parents.  (Note: University officials can override FERPA rights if a student is injured, taken to the hospital, or in danger.)  

Parents: please read the above carefully and have a discussion with your student.  Many times parents become upset when we cannot discuss one or more of the above categories with you. 

Nationally, a signed FERPA correlates to something like a 28% better GPA and a 25% improvement in retention.  (That’s correlation, not causation, but might be considered nonetheless.)

The first statement for the Fall semester will be emailed to your udallas.edu email address and uploaded to Transact on the evening of July 2nd.  Please review this statement, confirming the information on the statement is what you expected.  If you have questions about any items as they show on your statement, please refer to the UD website or contact the responsible departments listed below:

Transact is an online portal used by UD to collect payments, manage payment plans, and post statements and tax forms.  Students have access to Transact through a tile on BannerWeb – Student and can grant access to parents or other individuals.  Information on Transact is updated in real time, thus the most accurate source for information on your student account.  Please follow the link below for more information and instructions.

Each week during the semester, Student Account Services reviews student accounts for credit balances.  Those accounts found to have a credit balance are flagged and audited to determine the source of this credit balance and, if a refund is warranted, process a refund.  There are two methods we use to disburse these refunds:  

1. By direct deposit in a student-specified account through our partner, BankMobile
2. A check is printed if a student hasn’t specifically designated an account with BankMobile. An email is sent to the student’s udallas.edu account informing the student of the refund.  The student can ask Student Account Services to mail the check or the student can claim the check at the Cashier’s window in Cardinal Farrell Hall on campus.

Complete Title IX Training

We take a personalized approach to setting up your first semester schedule, so it takes a little time to get it all together.

Late in May (or within a week after you deposit) you'll receive a survey that asks about your academic interests and background. From this, we'll determine what math and language placement exams you'll need to take in June. By early July (right after this year's AP scores are released) we'll have a list of courses for you to review. In mid July you'll get your preliminary schedule for the Fall semester. Finally, you will be assigned an academic advisor when you arrive on campus, and will have an opportunity to make last minute changes after speaking with him or her during Disorientation.

Make sure to look for and respond to emails over the summer with surveys and placement test information, etc. 

After you have graduated from high school, please send your final high school transcript to UDallas. This needs to have a date of graduation and an official signature, as well as your final cumulative GPA. (Please know that we will not use your final GPA to reevaluate your merit scholarship).

If you took an AP/IB exam, make sure you have your scores sent to UDallas. Here’s information on how to send scores and information on what credit you could earn with your scores. Please contact any undergraduate admission counselor to answer AP/IB credit questions.

If you receive a scholarship from any source outside of the University of Dallas, it needs to be reported to the Office of Financial Aid as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made for the appropriate credit. You can do this in your BannerWeb portal by following the steps below.

• Log in to your BannerWeb portal.
• Click on the Financial Aid box.
• Click on the Offer tab.
• Scroll down to the section titled Additional Payment Options.
• Click on the Add/View Resource button and fill out the form. Select the term to which you want the scholarship applied. If you want the scholarship divided between the fall and spring semesters, select the fall term and then indicate that you want it divided in the Comments field.

In some cases, UD may need to make changes to your existing financial aid offer. All outside scholarships are placed on our financial aid system, however, it will never show on the official financial aid notification. Student Account Services will be able to access the information to assist you in determining your balance owed.

Report Your Outside Scholarships

This form is only required for students from Texas who have been awarded a Tx Equalization Grant in Banner.

All freshmen will move into their residence halls on Friday, Aug. 21. Over the summer, students will be given a time slot for their move-in. 

Orientation will run from Friday, Aug. 21, to Tuesday, Aug. 25. Parents will have their own activities and are welcome through brunch on Sunday, Aug 23rd. Classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 26th.

The Office of Student Life will send incoming students a detailed orientation schedule in mid-July.

Are you flying to DFW, but have too many things to carry with you? New students may ship boxes to campus in advance to pick up when they arrive.  Just be sure to head down to the Printing and Postal Office located in the basement of the Haggar University Center once you arrive, and ask for the packages in your name. Be prepared to show your University of Dallas Student ID card.  The address is:

The following is a map of area hotels near the University of Dallas. 

Students are welcome to have their own vehicle and park it on campus. However, students must purchase a Parking Permit through the University of Dallas Police on-line. (To purchase and register a vehicle; click on the button below) Pay for a Parking Permit with a Credit Card, then pick up the Permit from the University Police Department in Haggar during normal business hours from 8 am – 5 pm Monday thru Friday.

University of Dallas parking policies are available here. Vehicles must be in operating condition with current state registrations, inspections and tags in order to be registered on campus. Students will be ticketed if parked in a Visitor Space.

Public Transportation

Students without personal vehicles have the option of using the public transportation system. The DART system (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) has a bus route with a stop at our campus. The DART system includes:

• The Trinity Rail Express to Ft. Worth and Ft. Worth buses to destinations including Sundance Square, the Ft. Worth Museum District, and the Stockyards.
• The A-Train to Denton, plus all Denton buses.
• The Orange Line which serves DFW Airport, Love Field, UT Southwestern Medical District and Parkland Hospital, the American Airlines Center, downtown Dallas, the Dallas Museum District, Mockingbird Station, SMU/Bush Library, Northpark Mall, and more.
• Connections to McKinney Avenue trolley, Fair Park, and the Dallas Zoo.
