IRVING, Texas (April 13, 2023) — For the third year in a row, the University of Dallas ranked No. 6 in the U.S. News and World Report’s annual list of Best Regional Universities West.

The report ranks schools based on factors that include faculty resources, financial aid, student excellence, alumni giving rates and student outcomes.

In fact, the university’s first-destination outcome rate consistently shows that 96% of graduating seniors find jobs or graduate programs six months after graduation — higher than Yale, Columbia or the University of Pennsylvania.

According to the same report, UD placed second in the list of Best Value Schools and ranked in the top 10 Colleges for Veterans.

The “Best Value” category takes into account the academic quality of the institution and the average amount of need-based aid provided to students. U.S. News & World Report is among the most comprehensive research tools for students and parents considering higher education opportunities.

“We are honored to be recognized by these rankings. There is much to celebrate at the University of Dallas, including the impressive enrollment we achieved this academic year,” said University of Dallas President Jonathan J. Sanford, Ph.D.

UD has also kept its spot on the Princeton Review’s Best Colleges list, another common tool for families looking for the right college. While the Best Colleges are not ranked, the Princeton Review does rank UD the second most religious college in America and the sixth happiest.

Regional universities are distinguished by a full range of undergraduate and master’s programs and a small set of doctoral programs.
