IRVING, Texas (Feb. 16, 2024) — Andreas Widmer, an author, businessman and professor who formerly served as a member of the Swiss Guard protecting Pope John Paul II, will visit the University of Dallas to speak about the theological aspect of work.
Currently, Widmer is the director of the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship at The Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business, where he is also associate professor of practice.
He is the author of The Pope & The CEO: Pope Saint John Paul II’s Lesson to a Young Swiss Guard and The Art of Principled Entrepreneurship.
J. Lee Whittington, PhD, dean of the Gupta College of Business, will interview Widmer in SB Hall on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. Widmer will speak on God’s gifts and their proper application in each person’s calling, including the calling to work. The event is the first of three in Gupta COB’s Faith and Work series.
