IRVING, Texas (March 14, 2024) — William Perales has been appointed director of the Saint Ambrose Center for Catholic Liberal Education and Culture.
The Saint Ambrose Center shares the mission of the University of Dallas with the world at large through K-12 teaching resources, the Studies in Catholic Faith and Culture video series, and The Quest. Perales joined the team in 2021 to lead the K-12 Classical Curriculum Project, which supports K-12 educators with curriculum resources and professional development.
Before joining UD, Perales gained over 20 years of experience in Catholic education as a teacher and principal. Perales served on the Curriculum Committee of the Diocese of Fort Worth and helped found the Catholic teacher formation program for Fort Worth.
“It has been wonderful to work with K-12 educators around the country over these years and get to know their school communities and culture,” Perales stated. “We have a great team in the Saint Ambrose Center, and I look forward to continuing the growth of our services and sharing the vision of UD as we support K-12 schools with teacher professional development, school leader coaching, parent formation sessions, curriculum resources, and further consulting services for school operations.”

Perales’ appointment follows outgoing director Andrew Ellison’s move to another role in UD’s mission. Ellison became the university’s vice president for enrollment on March 1.
