UDallas Philosophy Professor Dr. Kevin Kambo To Deliver Lectures at Local Parishes

IRVING, Texas (Oct. 3, 2025) — UDallas Philosophy Professor Kevin Kambo will be the featured speaker at several nearby churches this fall, part of the university’s Parish Lecture Series. 

Dr. Kambo’s talk, “Scriptural Reflections: Maria Magdalena, Doctor of the True Presence,” will examine Mary Magdalene as a master teacher of Eucharistic devotion through readings and reflections on Scripture, liturgy and patristic theology. Dr. Kambo holds degrees in chemistry and philosophy, and has written on a broad range of texts, including Plato, Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, Cardinal Newman, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.

The event is free and will start at 6 p.m., followed by a reception, at the following parishes:

Oct. 6: St. Monica Catholic Center , in Dallas, TX 
Nov. 3: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Keller, TX
Nov. 18: Good Shepherd Catholic Community in Colleyville, TX
