This December, we celebrate the generosity of the University of Dallas community and
the impact it has made throughout the year. Each day, we’ll highlight how your support
has transformed our campuses, enriched student life and strengthened the UDallas experience
for all. Join us in reflecting on these meaningful contributions and consider making
a gift to help shape an even brighter future for UDallas. Together, we can continue
building a community that inspires gratitude, generosity and excellence.
Day 12: Theresa Hall
A Home Away from Home
On the final day of our 12 Days of Giving, we celebrate the newly renovated kitchen,
lounge and prayer room in Theresa Hall. These thoughtful upgrades have transformed
residence life for the residents of Theresa, providing warm, welcoming spaces where
friendships deepen, faith is nurtured and memories are made.
From shared meals in the kitchen to quiet moments of reflection in the prayer room
and late-night conversations in the lounge, these spaces beautifully embody the UDallas
sense of community that makes campus feel like home. Thanks to the generosity of our
supporters, students now have a place to live, learn, pray and grow together on campus.
On Day 11 of the 12 Days of Giving, we’re highlighting the vibrant new bleachers at
the Maher Athletic Center. Decked out in Crusader blue, these expanded seats brighten
the court, energize the atmosphere and give UDallas athletes a space to be proud of.
These upgrades not only enhance the game-day experience but also position UDallas
to host national SCAC tournaments, bringing greater visibility and opportunities to
our athletics program. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the Maher Athletic
Center is ready to inspire Crusaders to doughty deeds for years to come.
On Day 10 of the 12 Days of Giving, we’re celebrating the iconic Cappuccino Bar—a
favorite UDallas gathering spot. Thanks to generous donors, the Cap Bar now boasts
a second espresso machine to speed up service during busy hours and an expanded pastry
case for sweeter moments. Construction is also underway to add more seating, ensuring
students can enjoy their favorite drinks in comfort. From mocha lovers to black coffee
purists, the Cap Bar continues to be a hub of connection, caffeine and community.
On Day 9 of the 12 Days of Giving, we’re excited to share a sneak peek of the soon-to-be-completed
retail dining space in Haggar. Scheduled to open in Spring 2025, this renovated area
will feature expanded seating, sliding doors leading to the upper-level patio and
a vibrant atmosphere perfect for meals, study sessions and unwinding with friends.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, this space will soon become another favorite
gathering spot for the UDallas community.
On Day 8 of the 12 Days of Giving, we highlight the newly modernized weight room at
the Eugene Constantin Campus in Rome. Fully equipped with safer, state-of-the-art
workout gear, this renovated indoor gym complements the outdoor fitness amenities,
offering students more ways to stay active and healthy. Thanks to the generosity of
UDallas supporters, life at Due Santi continues to thrive as we celebrate 30 years
of this exceptional campus.
Day 7: New Pickleball Courts and Calisthenics Stations
Energizing Campus Life in Rome
On Day 7 of the 12 Days of Giving, we celebrate 30 years of the Eugene Constantin
Campus in Rome! This milestone year saw exciting upgrades, including new pickleball
courts and 13 street workout circuits, giving students and faculty more opportunities
to stay active and engaged. These fitness additions embody UDallas’ commitment to
educating the whole student—body, mind and spirit—while adding a playful balance to
all the delicious pizza in Rome.
On Day 6 of the 12 Days of Giving, we celebrate the newly established lactation room
in the Cowan-Blakley Memorial Library—a comfortable, safe and private space designed
for mothers and their babies. Open to all students, faculty and staff, this thoughtful
upgrade underscores UDallas’ commitment to being family-friendly and fostering a supportive,
inclusive environment. By helping balance work, study and personal lives, the university
continues to affirm its dedication to a pro-life campus culture.
On Day 5 of the 12 Days of Giving, we celebrate the Rathskeller, affectionately known
as the Rat—a space where the UDallas community has flourished for generations. With
plans to transform it into an Irish pub, the future Rat will offer an even livelier
and more welcoming venue for music-filled gatherings, friendly conversations, and
shared moments. This reimagined space will ensure that the joyful spirit and traditions
of UDallas continue to thrive for years to come.
On Day 4 of the 12 Days of Giving, we’re celebrating a delicious addition to campus
life—a new Italian brick pizza oven on the Rathskeller patio! Reminiscent of the forno
at Due Santi, this half-ton oven brings a taste of Rome to Irving, creating a cozy
gathering spot for pizza nights and cherished memories. Thanks to the generosity of
our supporters, this upgrade continues to foster the sense of community that makes
UDallas so special.
Honoring Our Faculty with a Space to Connect and Thrive
On Day 3 of the 12 Days of Giving, we celebrate the newly upgraded Gorman Faculty
Lounge. This cherished space has long been a hub for community events, lively discussions
and the occasional nervous JPo presentation. With its ivy-wreathed patio and perfect
balance of accessibility and seclusion, it fosters connection and collaboration among
our incredible faculty. Thanks to generous supporters, UDallas has restored this lounge
to remain a source of community and inspiration for years to come.
On Day 2 of the 12 Days of Giving, we celebrate the beautifully refreshed Gorman Lecture
Hall. When faced with aging spaces, donors stepped up to preserve - not modernize
- the character of this beloved hall. Thanks to their generosity, students will continue
gathering here for years, cherishing the same spirit of lively discussion and connection
that defines UDallas.
Join us on Day 1 of the 12 Days of Giving as we explore the newly upgraded Frank Doe
Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory. Thanks to supporters, biology students and faculty
of the University of Dallas have a wealth of new tools for studying and treating the
human body. After so many graduates have built an outstanding reputation as doctors
who understand the human person, the gift is well deserved.
