At the University of Dallas, we believe that athletics is a vital extension of our mission, developing students who lead with character, integrity and purpose. The UDallas Athletics Advisory Council plays a key role in advancing this mission by supporting the holistic development of student athletes and enhancing the competitiveness of our NCAA Division III programs.

Council members serve as advocates, advisers and ambassadors, helping shape a thriving athletics program that encourages excellence and service.

Whether it’s supporting facility upgrades, professional development for coaches or the travel needs of student athletes, the Council’s leadership ensures that UDallas Athletics continues to grow in both influence and reputation.

What Council Members Do

Council members provide strategic and philanthropic leadership to strengthen Crusader Athletics.

  • Advise UDallas Athletics leadership on program priorities and emerging opportunities
  • Promote UDallas Athletics within their professional, personal and regional networks
  • Mentor student athletes and support career development
  • Advocate for the mission and values of NCAA Division III sports
  • Provide financial support to key athletic initiatives

Priority Initiatives

The UDallas Athletics Advisory Council supports a number of key efforts to elevate the student athlete experience:

  • Capital Projects: Upgrading and expanding athletic facilities to meet the growing needs of our student athletes and to enhance recruiting, safety and performance.
  • Coaching Staff Development: Funding continuing education and leadership training to help UDallas coaches grow in their craft and lead with excellence.
  • Team Travel: Easing the financial burden of long-distance and postseason travel so student athletes can focus on competing at their highest level.
  • Sport-Specific Funds: Directing resources to individual teams, ensuring each sport receives targeted support to thrive and compete with confidence.

Council Membership: Expectations and Opportunities

Three-year renewable term

Meeting Frequency
1-3 times per academic year (including Homecoming, Groundhog and Commencement)

Financial Commitment
Minimum $10,000 annually

Engagement Opportunities
