This partnership allows CBU students to take courses at the University of Dallas Gupta College of Business that support an MBA concentration in Accounting, Leadership, and Marketing, all while remaining enrolled at DSU. In addition, under this partnership, Christian Brothers University undergraduates may pursue University of Dallas graduate coursework applicable to 4+1-degree pathways housed in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business:

Earn a Master's degree in 5 years with the 4+1 program.
Christian Brothers University undergraduates may pursue University of Dallas graduate coursework applicable only to the following approved 4+1-degree pathways housed in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. This program saves six to twelve months compared to completing the two degrees sequentially. By starting graduate coursework as an upperclassman, you can finish your master’s degree within one year of earning your bachelor’s.

Why did CBU enter into a partnership with the University of Dallas?
This collaboration was developed with a clear focus on expanding opportunities for our students. We see this as a great opportunity to sustain our current concentration in Accounting, Leadership and Marketing and create a new concentration option for UD students.
Can I take courses at the University of Dallas?
Yes. CBU MBA students are automatically eligible to register in up to four graduate concentration courses at UD.
Who helps me choose and register for UD courses?
Your CBU MBA advisor will assist you with course selection and registration.
Which academic calendar do I follow?
You follow the UD academic calendar for any course you take there, including start/end dates, add/drop deadlines, and exams.
What if the two schools have different schedules?
Calendars will differ slightly, but you will receive clear guidance before registration. For example, The University of Dallas has three 12-week sessions, but courses are held in Fall, Spring, and Summer. We will share the academic calendar with you each year.
Will courses taken at UD count toward my degree?
Yes, grades will be transferred to CBU and applied toward your degree, subject to your program requirements.
What academic standards apply to me?
You must follow the academic standards, grading policies, and course requirements for any course taken at UD. The grading scales are the same at both UD and CBU.
Will I have access to UD’s systems?
Yes. You will use Brightspace, UD’s learning management system. Access will be granted within 24 hours before the first day of classes.
When will I receive access?
Access credentials will be provided no later than 7 days before the course begins.
What happens if I withdraw from a course?
Withdrawals and any tuition refunds are handled according to CBU’s policies.
What are UD’s course formats?
Blended: courses are delivered primarily asynchronous with up to 3 required synchronous (live online) sessions. Synchronous: courses include weekly scheduled online sessions that must be attended. Courses run from 7PM-10PM.
How much does a UD course cost?
UD courses are offered at the same tuition rate as CBU courses, with payment made directly to CBU.
How do I obtain my Textbooks?
Textbook information will be available through your CBU advisor 6 weeks before classes begin. Options for purchasing books include campus bookstore, online retailers, renting, digital/eTextbooks, Library reserves, or student marketplace.
If I am having challenges in connecting with my UD faculty member, who helps me to resolve any issues?
Your CBU advisor can help you navigate any concerns and serve as a point of support between the two universities.
