Teresa Schichl received both her Master of Science and Ph.D degrees in Statistics from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
When she graduated from Texas Tech University she taught at Northwestern Oklahoma State University as assistant professor in Math Department. Two years later she moved to the Dallas area and joined Texas Instruments Inc. as a corporate Statistician. In her 25 years at Texas Instruments, she developed several training packages (Statistical Process Control I and II, Design of Experiment, Regression Analysis,…etc) for engineers. She created several award-winning data analysis systems by combining different software (e.g. SAS, PHP, and R). She was consulted for her expertise on many engineering projects both inside and outside Texas Instruments.
She retired from Texas Instruments Inc. at 2013 and joined University of Dallas as affiliated professor in Math department to pursue her teaching passion. She lives in Plano with her family. She enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities and cooking.
