Degree Options

 

The Bachelor of Arts in business is a 120-hour program combining a liberal arts foundation with a broad overview of business knowledge in areas such as management, accounting and marketing.

The degree program is composed of four categories of coursework: the university Core Curriculum, the business major core, electives and the business practicum.

Possible career paths include financial analysis, marketing management, public relations, market research, sales and more.

The Bachelor of Science in business is a 133-hour program combining a liberal arts foundation with specialized business knowledge for those students who are more quantitatively focused.

The degree program is composed of five categories of coursework: the university Core Curriculum, the business major core, electives, the business practicum and four additional courses focused on technical elements in business.  

Possible career paths include credit analysis, information technology, business risk consulting and more.

The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business offers a minor in business for non-business majors and a concentration in accounting for undergraduate students who want to have additional training in accounting but do not want to sit for the CPA exam.

The Accounting concentration is designed for undergraduate students who want to have additional training in accounting but do not want to sit for the CPA exam.

The Business Analytics Concentration allows students to gain a broad understanding of business analytics and prepares them to address data-related issues that might arise in their chosen careers. These courses explore the role of data in traditional functional areas of the business enterprise. Additionally, the courses aid students in acquiring business knowledge, critical analysis and people skills needed for leadership roles in their careers and in social, volunteer, church and community activities.

The Concentration in Business Leadership is a multidisciplinary program that brings together principles of the liberal arts, social sciences and business. This concentration is for students who want to become transformational leaders in their discipline.  Open to all majors.

Individuals with cybersecurity expertise are not only positioning themselves within a successful career field but helping with the greater good of society by securing and protecting personally identifiable information, personal health information, financial information and all other forms of electronic information.

The concentration in Marketing equips you with expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, and consumer insights — preparing you to drive engagement, build lasting relationships, and lead marketing initiatives with creativity and impact.

The program offers students the opportunity to learn more about venue management, customer service, sponsorships and other key revenue drivers. The purpose is to prepare any student at UD with the skills that they will need to thrive in today’s ever-changing business environment, while providing specific concepts applicable to this multi-billion-dollar industry.
