Catholic Teacher Certificate Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 hours
- Commitment to Catholic education
- Verbal proficiency (determined during application process)
- Writing proficiency (determined during application process)
About the University of Dallas Catholic Teacher Cohort:
The University of Dallas, as a whole, is shaped by the long tradition of Catholic learning. In its mission statement, UD acknowledges its commitment to the Catholic Church and its teaching. The Catholic Teacher Cohort is testament to that commitment in two important ways. First, the university offers a specialized academic and collegial community – a community of practice – where current and prospective Catholic school teachers can intermingle while they continue developing their mature understanding of their faith, develop their teaching skills, and prepare to meet the unique responsibility of teaching in Catholic schools. Second, the university offers financial support to members of the Catholic Teacher Cohort in the way of a significant reduction in tuition.
Tuition
Members of the Catholic Teacher Cohort are eligible for a special tuition rate, discounted at more than 30% off the regular graduate tuition rate.
