Automatic Academic-Based Achievement Awards and Other Scholarship Opportunites
Eligible high school seniors and transfer students may apply for scholarships ranging from $1,000 per year to $35,000. Incoming freshmen can use our scholarship calculator to estimate the academic-based achievement award for which they may be eligible. Awards ranging from $25,000 -$35,000 per year may be offered to selected applicants
based on high school GPA. The student's application for admission serves as the application
for an Academic Achievement Scholarship. No additional application is necessary.

Amount: $1,000 - $5,000 per year
Eligibility: High school seniors and transfer students
This distinguished departmental recognition can be added to any academic scholarship
and is renewable for up to eight semesters. Although many applicants may be qualified
in multiple subject areas, each student may only apply for one award.
The application deadline is December 15. The last day to interview (in person or online) is January 15. Drama departmental scholarship audition deadline is March 1.

Amount: $2,000 Per Year
Eligibility: The top high school senior Hispanic scorers on the PSAT who have earned
a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
The National Hispanic Scholars Scholarship, in the amount of $2,000 per year, is offered to the top high school senior Hispanic scorers on the PSAT who have earned a 3.0 or higher grade point average. This award can be used in addition to an Academic Achievement Scholarship, but when combined cannot exceed the cost of tuition. The National Hispanic Scholars Scholarship can be used for eight consecutive semesters. Students must submit an application for admission by March 1st to be eligible for the award. Additionally, a copy of the letter or certificate officially declaring National Hispanic Scholar status must be provided to the Office of Financial Aid.
Amount: $2,000 Per Year
Eligibility: Any National Merit Finalist who lists the University of Dallas as their
first choice school with the National Merit Corporation. This award is renewable for
up to four years of undergraduate study. National Merit Finalists with a Corporate-sponsored
award or National Merit $2,500 Scholarship are not eligible for this award.

Amount: Matched up to $2,000 Per Year
Eligibility: High School Seniors and current undergraduate students
Students awarded a scholarship by a parish in any Catholic diocese are eligible for this matching program at University of Dallas. The university will match parish gifts up to, but not exceeding, $2,000 per academic year for a total of eight semesters.

Eligibility: High school seniors from select DFW Catholic high schools
Deadline: March 1
High school seniors from the following Catholic high schools are eligible to apply: Bishop Dunne, Bishop Lynch, Cistercian, Cristo Rey Dallas, Nolan Catholic, John Paul II, The Highlands School, Jesuit College Preparatory School, Ursuline Academy of Dallas, Faustina Academy, and Chesterton Academy of Wichita Falls.
Amount: $5,000/year
Eligibility: High school seniors attending Catholic high schools in the U.S.
Deadline: March 1
One student will be selected from the West, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Texas (non-DFW) regions. Applicants must attend a Catholic high school. The selected students will exhibit strong commitments to faith, service and achievement.

Eligibility: High school seniors who plan on attending UD in the coming fall semester.

The O'Hara Chemical Sciences Institute provides new students at the University of Dallas the opportunity to complete two semesters of General Chemistry during the summer before their freshman year. This residential program spans eight weeks in June-August. Accepted students receive a scholarship that covers room, board and tuition for the summer term.
This program is highly recommended for science majors, those interested in our nursing and electrical engineering programs, as well as anyone with pre-health interests.
