Obtaining an I-20

All F-1 students that study in the United States need a Form I-20 "Certificate of Nonimmigrant Student Status". This form shows the U.S. government that you are considered eligible to apply for a F-1 Student visa based on your documented funds and academic record. Once you have been admitted to University of Dallas, and you have provided all of the required I-20 documents, your Immigration Advisor will issue your I-20.

To be Eligible for an I-20, you must:

  1. Be admitted to a full-time program of study
  2. Be able to provide proof of financial resources to cover tuition, fees, and living expenses for your first year of study. You must demonstrate this to University of Dallas in order to obtain your I-20. You will also provide the same information to the U.S. Consulate/Embassy or to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) when applying for your F-1 visa.
