IRVING, TX (Sept. 21, 2022) – The University of Dallas recently earned high marks of excellence from leading publications – including moving up to the #2 spot for “Best Value” among U.S. News & World Report’s "Best Colleges" in the West, as well as The Princeton Review’s Best 388 Colleges and “America’s Top Colleges” by Forbes.
U.S. News & World Report
For the third year in a row, UD ranked No. 6 in Regional Universities West in the
U.S. News & World Report’s "Best Colleges," published Sept. 12. Of the Regional Universities
West category, UD also ranked as the No. 2 "Best Value" institution – advancing in
this category from #9 last year. UD also earned recognition among the “Best Colleges
for Veterans,” “Top Performers on Social Mobility,” and “Best Undergraduate Business
Programs” in the country.
Based on categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, the "Best Colleges" overall ranking system uses several factors, including faculty resources, expert opinion, financial resources, student excellence, alumni giving rates and student outcomes. The "Best Value" category considers the academic quality of the institution and the average amount of need-based aid provided to students.

The Best 388 Colleges identified UD among the best institutions at which to receive an undergraduate education,
naming the university a “Best Value College” among 126 "Best Western" regional institutions
with several other notable distinctions:
- The sixth “Happiest Students” in the U.S. who also give praise to UD’s outstanding faculty as reflected in UD’s #21 ranking on the list of “Professors Get High Marks.”
- And for the university’s strong Catholic identity, UD was credited with having:
- The second "Most Religious Students" in the nation, with the sixth “Most Conservative Students” in the country.
To tally its rankings lists, The Princeton Review surveyed 160,000 students attending 388 schools, asking them to rate their professors, administrators, school services, and various aspects of their college life.

Consistently ranked in "America's Top Colleges," the Forbes ranking was released in
mid-August to “showcase the finest in American education,” earning UD No. 194 out
of all private colleges.

For the sixth straight year, UD’s Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business’ Doctor
of Business Administration program received the honor of being named a 2022 Premier Global DBA Program by CEO Magazine in May.
