The University of Dallas is pleased to announce the appointment of Clint Rain, CPA, as Chief Financial Officer, a key leadership addition that reflects the university’s continued investment in strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term financial strength.
“Clint brings a strong combination of financial expertise and strategic insight that will be critical as we steward our resources and plan for the future,” said President Jonathan J. Sanford.
Rain brings significant financial leadership experience across financial planning, reporting, and operational strategy. He has overseen complex financial environments, including organizations supporting multi-billion-dollar investment portfolios, and has a strong track record of improving financial performance through disciplined planning, cost management, and strategic execution. Rain’s expertise includes financial planning and analysis, controllership, risk management, and financial operations.
“As a longtime Irving resident, I am looking forward to serving the mission of the university I have long admired for the excellent quality of its education and the talented individuals who work there, whom I’ve come to know over the years,” Rain said. “I hope to lend my talents and experience to ensuring the institution is set on a solid path for growth.”
As chief financial officer, Rain will oversee the university’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, while serving as a key advisor to the president and board of trustees. He lives in Irving with his wife and family, and they are parishioners at Holy Family of Nazareth and frequently attend mass at the Cistercian Abbey. Rain begins his role on March 30.
