Student surveys place University of Dallas #2 for Most Religious Students and #15 for Professors Get High Marks.
IRVING, Texas (September 1, 2026) — The University of Dallas has once again been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the nation’s best colleges, earning a place among The Best 392 Colleges for 2027 and designations as a Best Value College and a Best Southwest College. The university was also recognized again as one of Money’s Best Colleges in America 2026.
Among this year’s distinctions, UD ranked #2 nationally for Most Religious Students, #15 for Professors Get High Marks and #17 for Happiest Students. The faith and faculty rankings in particular highlight two qualities at the heart of the UD experience: a deeply religious campus culture and exceptional teaching.
The Princeton Review’s Most Religious Students ranking measures how strongly students agree that their fellow students are very religious. Professors Get High Marks reflects whether students say their professors are interesting and bring course material to life.
Those findings are echoed in students’ descriptions of their professors. They describe faculty members as “not only great teachers but great role models” and point to professors who care about educating the whole person and engage students in questions that extend far beyond individual courses.
Faith is equally evident in how students describe campus life. One student told The Princeton Review that fellow students have a “genuine interest in being faithful people and growing in their spiritual lives.”
The Princeton Review’s college ranking lists are based entirely on student surveys. For the 2027 edition, The Princeton Review drew on responses from more than 172,000 students at the 392 colleges included in the book.
