The Making of the Heritage Edition
The volume, “Gospels and Acts,” is bound — by hand — in a single piece of Italian calfskin and adorned with a solid silver clasp. Inside, 100 percent uncoated cotton paper, heavy like vellum, is printed using state-of-the-art offset lithographic printing technology from Heidelberg Corporation. Each page was hand-illuminated with silver and gold foils by Donald Jackson’s studio manager, Sara Harris; therefore, no two are alike.
