The Accounting and Finance Society (AFS) is the University of Dallas club for undergraduate students pursuing careers in accounting and finance. Whether you're exploring the field, building your resume, or preparing for internship and full-time recruiting, the AFS club at UDallas is here to help you reach these goals.
Through our events, we connect members with the resources, people, and experiences needed to compete for top roles in accounting and finance. With Dallas emerging as a major hub for finance ("Y'all Street"), and downtown just fifteen minutes from campus — AFS members are being positioned to take advantage of these new emerging opportunities.
AFS reflects the UDallas approach to business education: developing students who think critically, communicate effectively, and lead with integrity — not just graduating with a mere printed business degree, but with a collection of meaningful experiences. University of Dallas is frequently seen as among the best schools for students pursuing specialized graduate business tracks such as finance and accounting. We're a community built on the pursuit of excellence, collaboration, and mutual success.
AFS is led by a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a team of officers who manage day-to-day operations and run the organization's events and outreach. Each officer brings a different set of skills and interests to the team, which helps AFS offer a wider range of experiences to our members.
Attendance to AFS club events is open to all UDallas students — no application required. Officer positions are filled through a competitive application and interview process at the start of each academic year. Interested students are encouraged to attend our information sessions to learn more about officer responsibilities and the application process. We welcome applicants from any major or year.
