You are invited to join Dr. Sri Beldona as he explores one of the fastest growing economies of the world India. The mere mention of India today conjures up the notion of everything outsourced. But this country in the past decade has moved way beyond the "call center concept". Today, the country has a booming manufacturing industry, an exploding education industry (did you know that in the next two years the top 50 Universities from the world are likely to set up shop in India?) and of course the evergreen software and hardware industry.
Our journey to India will take us through Dubai (United Arab Emirates) where we will take a two-day break to understand how this economy that almost went bust in 2009 is making a rapid comeback from diversifying its interest beyond oil. We will visit some of the top consulting firms that are actively engaged in this process. Of course, no visit to Dubai would be complete without soaking in the flavors of the Spice Suk, Gold Suk (market) and the Burj Khalifa the tallest building in the world. No matter how you look at these buildings, Dubai is also an architect's dream come true.
From Dubai we travel to New Delhi (India's capital) and spend the next 6 days understanding what is driving the economy these days after the recent slump in GDP. We explore the domains of outsourcing, manufacturing, management consulting, and a few policy making bodies.
Along with the business visits we will visit some of the top cultural visits in New Delhi such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, Humayan's Tomb, India Gate, etc. Of course, your journey would be incomplete without the visit to TAJ MAHAL considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
