TSCPA Recognition Annual Award

Since 2008, the University of Dallas has bestowed the Texas Society of CPAs Accounting Excellence Award to an outstanding graduate of the MS accounting program. This permanent plaque with each name is on the second floor of SB Hall.

We asked some of our winners how they were able to reach a high level of success in this program. This is what they said.

“I was very dedicated to my studies the whole time I was here. I learned to budget my time wisely, since I was also working full time as well. And my family certainly helped with responsibilities outside of class and work.”

“I would tell students to stay focused – take one semester at a time, do well in that semester. Then move on to the next semester. You need to stay organized and manage your time effectively always.”

“Develop a high level of curiosity. Understand the big picture. Take advantage of every class. Do every practice problem until you can do them in your sleep!”
