Why I love UD/Why I Recruit for UD: UD has helped shape the way I see the world - I see nature imbued with divine richness. Or as Hopkins puts it, "Glory be to God for dappled things." The great books I read here and the great conversations I was a part of served to orient my mind and heart towards the truth. At UD I developed close relationships with my professors and gained life-long friendships. I'm truly grateful for all that UD has done to push me towards living magnanimously. After teaching for the past three years at a classical charter school, I decided to return home - to UD.

Favorite Spot on Campus: If you're in need of some silence, but you love sitting in nature, the art village is the place to study. Of course, I love the Cappuccino Bar (Capp Bar) -- UD's social hub.

Where Do You Hang Out in Dallas?: Bishop Arts District is a really fun place to explore. Their coffee shops are great for studying. And if you like art, I recommend visiting The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth.

Favorite Book: To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf and Emma by Jane Austen

Favorite Place to Eat in DFW: If you want something upscale, visit The Henry in Dallas. If you want a good taste of Fort Worth, go to the Flying Saucer -- they have live music!

Favorite UD Event: Groundhog Day. You get to watch an epic rugby game in the morning and spend the rest of the day with UD friends and families.

Favorite/Coolest Place I have Visited: GREECE! I will cherish it forever.

Advice to Prospective Students: Think about what you are passionate about and what is most essential to living well -- money, power, and esteem from your peers or virtue, justice, and thinking deeply about important questions? Find which colleges will best align to what you think is most important in life.
