Certificate in the Foundations of Ministry

Deepening Faith. Forming Disciples. Preparing for Ministry.

In partnership with the Diocese of Dallas, the Certificate in the Foundations of Ministry (CFM) offers adults an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith while growing in prayer, discipleship, and readiness for service. Grounded in the Catholic theological tradition and guided by the mission of the University of Dallas, the certificate combines theological study with reflection, conversation, and practical application.

The CFM is designed for adults at all stages of their faith journey, whether seeking a stronger foundation in Catholic teaching, preparing for ministry, or simply desiring to grow in their relationship with Christ and His Church. Courses emphasize meaningful dialogue, faith sharing, thoughtful reflection, and opportunities to connect theological learning with everyday life and ministry.

With flexible online access, personalized support, and engaged learning communities, this certificate provides an accessible pathway for lifelong formation. Participants who successfully complete the required courses and culminating learning activities receive the CFM, recognizing their commitment to continued learning, spiritual growth, and faithful participation in the mission of the Church.

COSTS

With generous support by the Diocese of Dallas, every member of the Diocese of Dallas may register and complete the CFM courses at the low cost of $60.00 per course. For those outside of the diocese, the cost is $120.00 per course.
