Scholarships Available for First Generation & Underrepresented Students

UD's Office of Financial Aid offers a number of scholarships specifically to support first-generation and students from underrepresented communities listed below. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@udallas.edu for more information.

Class of 1967 Memorial Scholarship

This endowed scholarship prioritizes high acheiving, low-income/minority families dependent on scholarship support to attend college. 
Amount: Variable

Roberta C. Lindsay Scholarship Trust

This endowed scholarship is designated to support undergraduate Catholic or Protestant African American students who also graduated from a Texas high school. 
Amount: Two $2,500 awards

CIC/UPS Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to one full-time, undergraduate student whose background reflects one or more of the components in the target population of top priority to the UPS Foundation: first generation, low-income, minority or new American students. 
Amount: $3,000

National Hispanic Scholarship

Offered to students who achieve National Hispanic Scholar recognition from the College Board based on their PSAT performance.
Amount: $2,000

Constantin Foundation Grant

Made possible by a grant from the Constantin Foundation, these scholarships funds are for first generation students from Texas.
Amount: Variable

Hispanic Catholic Bibilical Scholarship (School of Ministry)

This grant supports bilingual biblical studies within the Neuhoff Institute for Ministry & Evangelization.
Amount: Variable

Vietnamese Ministry Scholarship

Awarded to Vietnamese students in ministry or theology.
Amount: Variable

Melvin B. Green-Caraway Scholarship (College of Business)

This endowed scholarship is awarded to an MBA student, with preference given to first generation and minority students.
Amount: Variable

LouAnn and Mike Corboy Scholarship

Awarded each year to a graduate of Bishop Dunne HS with most need.  If multiple students have the same financial need, then award goes to the minority student. 
Amount: $2,500

President Thomas S. Hibbs and Dr. Stacey Hibbs First Generation Scholarship

The initial donation for this scholarship has generously been made by Dr. Hibbs and his wife, Dr. Stacey Hibbs. The scholarship will be fully endowed in the next few years and will be awarded to students enrolled at UD who are first generation students.
