FAQs
How will I get to The Pines Catholic Camp?
We will be taking two buses from The University of Dallas to The Pines Catholic Camp. The buses will leave at 4pm on Friday and return by 2pm on Sunday.
What if I have class after the bus leaves?
If you have a class that will end after 4pm on Friday, you can contact Madison Brinkman (mbrinkman@udallas.edu) and we will arrange a ride for you.
Can I bring my own food?
While we will have all meals provided, you are more than welcome to bring snacks for in between those meals. The Pines also makes accommodations for food allergies for all meals. If you need to bring your own meals, please contact Madison Brinkman (mbrinkman@udallas.edu).
Will I be able to do homework?
While it is encouraged that you enter fully into the retreat, The Pines has wifi that you can connect to should you need to work on or turn in an assignment. There will also be a chunk of free time on Saturday that you can choose to use for homework.
Can I drive myself?
You are more than welcome to drive yourself to the retreat. However, the cost of transportation to and from the retreat is included in the registration fee.
What kind of shoes should I pack?
We definitely recommend bringing a pair of shower shoes, and either tennis shoes or another comfortable shoe. The Pines is relatively spread out and we will be walking from place to place so keep that in mind.
What kind of bedding do I bring?
You will need twin size sheets. However, if you choose to bring a sleeping bag, you can put that on top of the mattress and you won't need sheets. You will also need to bring a pillow.
