Michael A. Sharma, MPAS, PA-C, has been a practicing emergency medicine and urgent care PA for over 15 years.  In addition to serving the UD community, PA Sharma works at Parkland Memorial Hospital, in the busiest emergency department in the country, and UT Southwestern Medical Center, rated the #1 hospital in the Dallas - Fort Worth area for 10 years in a row by U.S. News and World Report.

He has also been a faculty member and guest lecturer at multiple PA programs, educational organizations, and hospital systems, and has delivered over one hundred live and virtual presentations at the local, state, national, and international levels.  He is a recipient of UT Southwestern’s “Outstanding APP In Teaching” and “PA of the Year” awards.

PA Sharma serves on the Executive Leadership Team of the Academy of PAs in Legal Medicine.  He is also a U.S Army veteran, including a deployment to Afghanistan as a trauma team leader.  He is a graduate of the Interservice PA Program and Texas A&M University.
