Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business!

As Dean of the College, I am extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, experiential-based business education that our college has upheld since its founding. Our undergraduate and graduate business programs are developing the next generation of servant leaders – leaders who have the moral depth and intellectual intensity necessary to meet the challenges of a time of critical transition in society.

The Gupta College of Business holds the prestigious business accreditation from AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). In addition, the College is designated as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) by the National Security Agency (NSA) of the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security for Information Assurance (IA).

The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business views business as a vocation that is ordered to the betterment of society in keeping with the common good. The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business embraces these ends with a distinctive commitment to a rigorous and relevant education that provides immediate applicability and lasting value in the business environment.  We offer the BA in Business, the MBA, and several specialized MS degrees. We were the first AACSB School in Texas to offer a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). Each of these degrees is designed to equip our students to apply their expertise not only for organizational success but for the common good. We empower students to drive innovation and positive change through cutting-edge, values-driven education focused on emerging professional needs. By cultivating an inclusive learning community and stressing social responsibility, we prepare graduates to utilize their distinct skills in service to society.

Central to the success of our students and over 14,000 Gupta College of Business alumni, has been the decades of leadership and experience-based knowledge that our faculty bring into the classroom. As scholar-practitioners, our faculty members are  thought leaders in their industry, who combine rigorous applied research with extensive industry experience to drive change and have a positive societal impact at the university, in the community, and across the globe.
