At UD, you will experience a high quality academic environment and receive solid career preparation, while also participating in a wide-range of extracurricular activities and exploring one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States.

International Student Application Requirements

Please be advised before beginning your application for admission:

Students should expect a sizable out-of-pocket cost to attend UD, even after merit scholarship aid is applied to the direct costs and charges from the university.

We do not offer "full rides" or full scholarships of any kind to any student. If you require substantial financial assistance approaching such an amount to consider enrollment in an institution of higher learning, please be advised that our university is not in a position to offer such aid to international students, and as such, we would ask you kindly to consider whether UDallas is a financially feasible destination for you and your family.

In order to be considered for admission to the University of Dallas, International students must submit:

  • The online Common Application, including the essay.
  • University of Dallas Short Answer Questions (via the Common Application).
  • Official transcripts (with certified English translations), showing all secondary and post-secondary courses and grades. International transcripts must be sent through an approved transcript evaluation service. Please note that the international evaluation is mandatory and must be submitted within 90 days of your application's submission. This is the student's responsibility. Failure to submit an international evaluation in a timely manner will result in your application being withdrawn from consideration for admission.
  • Students who attend an IB-affiliated school or an American, English-speaking school that uses the US 4.0 grading scale may be eligible to have the international evaluation waived.
  • Submit national examination results and/or official notification of successful school completion.
  • REQUIRED: Official ACT, SAT and/or CLT score reports. ACT and/or SAT score reports appearing on official high school transcripts are acceptable. Our ACT school code is 04234. Our SAT code is 6868.
    • SAT and ACT scores will be used to measure English proficiency and are also included in the review process. Students from non-English speaking countries who have an Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 600 or an ACT English score of 25 will meet the minimum English proficiency requirement for admission. Students whose SAT and ACT scores do not meet this threshold MUST submit an additional English proficiency test result meeting the minimum English proficiency requirement.
    • The University of Dallas does not offer conditional admission. Students must apply English-ready.
  • For students from non-English speaking countries who do not meet the English proficiency requirement through the SAT or ACT scores, send your official results of the TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo English exam.
    • TOEFL minimum scores for application review: 80 for Internet-based test only.
    • IELTS minimum score for application review: 6.5.
    • Duolingo English test minimum score for application review: 110
  • If you have taken college or university courses during high school, have an official copy of your final transcript forwarded directly to the University of Dallas.
  • Submit your $50 application fee or an official fee waiver form. If completing an online application, you may submit payment electronically.
  • Submit a copy of your passport (if available).

If you still have questions about applying as an International student, visit our International Student Frequently Asked Questions page or contact an admission counselor at admissions@udallas.edu.

Once admitted, international students must complete the Confirmation of Financial Resources Form, certified by a bank official (not required for lawful permanent residents or those of H-4, E-2, G-2, L-2 status).

UDallas has a rolling admission, and for Fall 26, we accept application until our class is full.
