Why I love UD/Why I Recruit for UD: I love Catholic education and believe that it fully forms a student to
think critically and speak eloquently in the world today. While I was not a student
here, I support UD’s
mission to cultivate growth in reading, writing, thinking and faith life. The campus
life here is very
dynamic and welcoming, with the Catholic faith at the very heart of everything we
do. Through
conversations with current and former students, I am excited to be a part of this
community and assist
prospective students in their journey to UD!
Favorite Spot on Campus: Our Lady of Guadalupe statue
Where Do You Hang Out in Dallas?: Either rock climbing at Summit, going to a concert, running at Arbor
Hills Nature Preserve or discovering a new coffee shop
Favorite Book: Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl
Favorite Place to Eat in DFW: Lava10 in Grapevine for sushi, Rodeo Goat for burgers, or Mi Cocina for
some good Tex-Mex
Favorite/Coolest Place I have Visited: Panama or Krakow for World Youth Day, or Iceberg lake in Glacier
National Park
Advice to Prospective Students: I challenge you to consider how UD can assist in your growth. When looking at Universities, I was set on not leaving Wisconsin, going to a medium to large size school and studying nursing. Instead, I left home, went to a small liberal arts school and studied theology. Growth comes in many ways and usually when we least expect it. UD is a welcoming community filled with many opportunities academically, spiritually, relationally and personally.
