The MS in accounting is a 33-hour program comprising 11 classes. Almost all classes are on the Irving campus or in a hybrid format (partly online, partly on campus). This allows a wide range of face-to-face collaborative opportunities with other students and professors. No GMAT or GRE is required for admission. For the typical working professional taking two classes per semester, the MS can be completed in about 1.5 to 2 years.
Students who complete this program become well equipped to navigate challenges in this dynamic profession. Most graduates pursue careers in fields such as assurance, taxation, consulting or forensic accounting. Others will choose career paths in business or industry in areas such as financial reporting, managerial accounting, financial analysis or treasury functions.
