Points of Pride

Being a Crusader has its perks.

  • Sixty-eight National Merit Scholars currently attend UD, giving us one of the highest percentages per capita when compared to all other Catholic colleges and universities in the U.S.
  • Youngest university in the 20th century to be granted a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most respected undergraduate honors organization in the U.S.

UD was honored as the No. 1 Catholic institution in Texas, placing us third (No. 162) in Dallas/Fort Worth alongside our peer instutions (No. 98) Southern Methodist Univeristy, (No. 188) Texas Christian University and (No. 295) University of Texas, Dallas.

Accreditations & Honors

  • The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business is recognized as a National Center for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity by the National Security Agency and U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Participation Rate

The participation rate of alumni, that is, the number of alumni who donate to the university, plays a significant role in the decisions of foundations and corporations to support UD. The amount you give doesn’t matter; it simply matters that you gave. Your gift of $5 could help UD secure a much larger amount from a foundation or corporation.
