Constantin First-Generation Scholarship

Supporting First-Generation College Students

Students who are already receiving a Constantin scholarship for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters are not eligible to apply.

Qualifications:

  1. Applicants must be current, full-time undergraduate University of Dallas students.
  2. Applicants must have submitted either a 2025-2026 FAFSA or a 2025-2026 TASFA and demonstrate financial need.
  3. Applicants must be first-generation college students; defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor's degree.
  4. Applicants must have either been born in Texas or be current Texas residents.

Requirements:

In addition to the qualifications above, the student must complete the following steps to apply for this scholarship:

  1. Sign up to participate in First Gen Small Groups. 
  2. Accept the email invitation you have received to sign up for a FREE Optimal Work Premium Subscription and complete the inventory you are prompted to complete on the Optimal Work Website.
  3. Between now and Monday, November 17th, earn at least 150 points in your usage of OptimalWork. 
    * We will tabulate your points based on the same metrics we have listed in the October OptimalWork Challenge with the additional news that you will earn 25 points by attending one of our Fall Small Groups events. 
  4. Between now and Monday, November 17th, make and keep an appointment to meet with Dr. Spring or Professor Stubbs in the Academic Success Office. 
  5.  Between now and Monday, November 17th, make and keep an appointment to meet with one of our OptimalWork Peer Coaches.
  6. By Friday, November 21st, submit the application below which includes a 300-word essay which answers the following prompt:

Share something you learned about yourself as a result of meeting with an OptimalWork peer coach or an Academic Success advisor, or thanks to your experience with the OptimalWork platform or your visit to a Small Groups event. 

Please upload your essay within the application form using either Word or pdf format.

Completing these tasks will count as your application for Scholarship Funding from the Constantin Foundation for the Spring of 2026, with the understanding that you will continue as a First Gen Small Group Participant throughout the Spring semester.
