AACSB-accredited schools produce graduates that are highly skilled and more desirable to employers than other non-accredited schools.

Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE)

The Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education was created in 1997 to provide a forum for dialogue among leading figures in government, industry, and academia. The Colloquium's goal is to work together to define current and emerging requirements for information assurance education and to influence and encourage the development and expansion of information assurance curricula, especially at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Colloquium is active throughout the year and holds an annual conference in June. Conference information is available on the Colloquium website.

ISSA North Texas

The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) is dedicated to serving as a knowledge resource to those organizations and professionals who strive to stay abreast of security and data privacy issues as well as best practices to protect both data and people. The North Texas ISSA Chapter welcomes members and non-members to participate in monthly educational events held every 3rd Thursday of each month at Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant in Plano, TX from 11:30- 1:00.

Pearson Learning Studio (eCollege)

The University of Dallas Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business was an early adopter of online course delivery and in 1999 partnered with Pearson eCollege to offer high quality on-ground and online education. Students and faculty receive 24/7/365 global support to ensure program success.

Quality Matters

The Quality Matters (QM) Program is a nationally recognized, faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. Colleges and universities across and beyond the U.S. use the tools in developing, maintaining and reviewing their online courses and in training their faculty.

The Quality Matters Rubric has become the most widely used set of standards for the design of online and blended courses at the college level. Today, more than 700 colleges and universities subscribe to the non-profit Quality Matters Program. The QM Process for continuous improvement is the framework for quality assurance efforts in online learning and provides effective professional development for faculty making the transition into distance education. All of the courses in the Cybersecurity program have been designed and reviewed to meet the QM standards and rubrics.

Stop.Think.Connect.

The Stop.Think.Connect. campaign is a national public awareness campaign aimed at increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering the American public to be safer and more secure online. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. We each have to do our part to keep the Internet safe. When we all take simple steps to be safer online, it makes using the Internet a more secure experience for everyone. The University of Dallas is a Academic Alliance Member.

Cybersecurity students can free access to VMware software, tools, and training for academic purposes. VMware is the market leader in desktop and server virtualization.
