Claire Schwartz graduated from the University of Dallas in 2019 with a BA in Printmaking and an MA in Secondary Education in 2020. Currently, she is a high school teacher at MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas. She has been there for five years now.

At MacArthur High School, Claire has taught Art 1, Fibers 2-4, Sculpture 2-4, and Partners in Art. She wrote the curriculum for the Partners in Art course. This course allows for LIFE and other exceptional students to be fully integrated into the art classroom with the result of them earning their one credit of fine arts for graduation. Claire's sister has Down syndrome so beginning this program at MacArthur High School was a very personal and important accomplishment for her. She also developed and expanded the Fibers curriculum to include the artistic process of printmaking.

Claire applied and received the 2023 - 2024 Texas Retired Teachers Foundation Classroom Assistance Grant to purchase more printmaking tools to further the program at MacArthur High School.

On the side, Claire has a small photography business. To contact her and check out her portfolio, see her Instagram here. Claire is a good resource for anyone interested in teaching art.
