The MS in cybersecurity for cyber defense (CAE-CD) program of study is designed to offer students a real-world cybersecurity education taught by experienced industry professionals. The cybersecurity master’s program dives into the critical topics facing organizations today, including data protection, legal and compliance, programming, operational and strategic cybersecurity management, penetration testing, and digital forensics.

What Will I Study?

The cybersecurity program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the complexities in protecting and defending infrastructures and networks that contain valuable information.

While focusing on maintaining confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, the MS in Cybersecurity program covers all eight domains of cybersecurity required for the CISSP exam.

What Kind of Commitment Am I Making?

Enterprise Architecture

The MS in Cybersecurity is a 30-hour program comprising ten classes that cover a range of cybersecurity topics. For the typical working professional taking two classes per semester, the MS in cybersecurity program can be completed in about 1-2 years. This program is 100 percent online.

*Please note that this program is not suitable for students planning to attend on an F-1 visa.

The University of Dallas Center for Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity at the University of Dallas

The University of Dallas Center for Cybersecurity is an established cybersecurity center within the University of Dallas Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. In 2003, the University of Dallas was designated a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) by the National Security Agency (NSA). The University of Dallas values the support and guidance provided by the NSA and has been successfully re-designated as a CAE for nearly 20 years. Students graduating from the University of Dallas have the confidence that the master’s program aligns with the NSA requirements for a highly qualified CAE in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD).
